About
Hi, my name is Gareth Davies.
I’ve worked for over 20 years experience as an educator, teaching at high school level (Humanities subjects and ICT), advising at regional level and working for an educational multimedia company. I regularly train teachers, provides consultancy to schools, local and national bodies, and am a regular contributor to educational journals and as well as speaking at UK and international conferences. I’m presently Principal Adviser with Advisory Matters, a specialist educational ICT consultancy, and Chair of the Board of Management of Naace, the UK’s professional association for those interested in advancing education through ICT. I suppose I’m passionate about the opportunities that Information and Communication Technology gives individuals and learning institutions to enhance and improve the quality of learning. Experience has taught me that only by understanding the culture of the environment in which learning takes place can long-lasting change be achieved. This blog provides me with a space to make, and give, some personal comments and reflections on the world of educational ICT. Just in case anyone might think so, these should not be construed as reflecting the views of either my employer or Naace.
